Virtual Game Tips

  • We suggest logging into your game 5 to 10 minutes early so that any audio or video issues can be resolved before your game begins
  • Any common smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer with¬† an internet connection should work, but viewing on a larger screen may provide a better game experience
  • A webcam may be used if you wish other players to see you, but it is optional and will not help or hinder you in the game
  • We recommend using headphones or earbuds¬† instead of speakers to avoid any possible audio feedback problems
  • For those using computers with no microphone, you may use the “Join By Phone” option. This will allow you to use your phone for the audio and your computer to display the video
  • Google Meet offers an on-screen chat feature that will allow you and you team to take and share notes during your game. You can find the chat icon on the upper right corner of your Google Meet screen
  • A pen and paper may also prove useful for taking notes during your game
  • Once in the game, we suggest having your agent first walk the space so that you have a clear sense of everything it contains
  • If something is hard to make out in the video, have your agent describe what you are looking at
  • Your agent will know less about your mission than you do, but he is familiar with this station. You may ask for his advice at any point in the game
